Coaches

Thank you for volunteering as a coach for AYSO. You are a vital part of our program and we truly appreciate your efforts. The information provided below is applicable to both head coaches and assistant coaches.

Training and Certification

AYSO requires that all coaches be trained and certified for the age group they are coaching. This is a list of coach training courses offered by our region each fall:

  • Safe Haven for Coaches – a one-time, on-line course required for all coaches (see the website www.aysotraining.org for more information)
  • U6 Coach Training – Covers U6 and U5 divisions
  • U8 Coach Training – Covers U8 and U7 divisions
  • U10 Coach Training – Covers U10 and U9 divisions
  • U12 Coach Training – Covers U12 division

A list of upcoming coach dates training is included below. We are also including coach training offered by other nearby regions in case you cannot attend the course dates offered by our region.

Any technical soccer-related questions should be addressed to the Regional Coach Trainer (RCT) at the following email address: coachtrainer@aysohinsdale.org. Examples of issues for the RCT include clarification on rules and advice on practice techniques.

Any administrative-related questions regarding training should be addressed to the Regional Coach Administrator (RCA) at the following email address: coachadmin@aysohinsdale.org. Examples of issues for the RCA include certification requirements to coach for a specific division and how to change your eAYSO record to show that you’ve attended an AYSO-provided training class.
